“ John's Restaurant is a prime example of the many unique and unknown businesses hidden in Queens. Upon entering the "food court" area of the mini-mall-- my eyes were immediately drawn to John's. Their display of vibrant and healthy plants (all for sale and very reasonably priced) paired seamlessly with the bright, neon green light hung on classic diner wood paneling. In addition to their home-cooked buffet bar, John's has a unique selection of Korean snacks that are quite difficult to find elsewhere. The couple behind the counter were kind, courteous, and more than willing to go out of their way to help me find what I needed. One can't help but to wonder the origins of John's Restaurant. Such a special establishment is bound to have an even more unique background. ”
“ I was looking for a bite to eat after shopping and stumbled upon this place. It's a buffet style place that charges by the pound. I chose to eat here because of the variety they had and I was looking for healthier options. I mainly got food from the salad bar and some baked chicken which was fantastic. One thing I found strange at first was all the plants out in front. I was told that I can buy them so I picked up a small bamboo plant to help decorate my apartment and fell in love with it. If you're looking for a place with good food variety and maybe pick up a small plant on the way I'd recommend this place. ”
